Raul Escobedo
Associate Band Director
Raul Escobedo is thrilled to join Klein Forest High School Golden Eagle Band! He taught in Austin, TX for 9 years at Lamar Middle School, and in Las Cruces, NM for 2 years at Las Cruces High School.
In 2006, Mr. Escobedo attended the University of North Texas and graduated in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in music education. While at North Texas, Raul participated in and taught the Green Brigade Marching Band, as well as performing in many wind ensembles including Symphonic Band. In 2012, Raul received his master’s degree in tuba performance at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL where he studied with Rex Martin. He had the opportunity to perform with the Northwestern Symphonic Wind Ensemble and the Northwestern Symphony Orchestra. Over the course of his career, Raul has directed and taught many different ensembles including jazz band, symphonic bands, wind ensembles, symphony orchestras, and marching bands.Â
Mr. Escobedo has been married for 12 years with his wife Kaitlin, and they have 3 kids named Leo, Rachel, and Milo.
